Serving Beaver County
Landscaping and hardscaping in Beaver County
Beaver County is our newest area of coverage and it sits naturally at the western edge of the radius we already work. Daugherty and Marion townships, New Sewickley and North Sewickley, and the boroughs along the river are all comfortable additions to routes we are already running through Zelienople and Harmony.
The defining feature here is the river valley. Ground falls toward it, and that means two things on a property: real gradient to design around, and water arriving from uphill whether or not your own lot generates it. Drainage work in this county is as often about intercepting what is coming as it is about moving what lands.
Lots run larger and more open than they do in the Cranberry subdivisions. Past a few thousand square feet sod stops making financial sense and hydroseeding takes over, covering far more ground per dollar and establishing well when the timing and the watering plan are right.
The housing stock skews older, particularly around New Brighton and Beaver, which usually means drainage that was adequate for a smaller roof and a shorter driveway and has not kept up with either. That is the most common first job we do here.
Being at the edge of the radius does not change the standard. It changes scheduling โ we batch Beaver County work alongside the Zelienople and Harmony runs rather than making one-off trips, which keeps the pricing the same as anywhere else we work.

On the ground
What Beaver County ground involves
-
River valley drainage
Ground that moves water toward the valley floor, and properties sitting in its path
-
Real gradient
Valley sides steep enough that terracing is the starting point
-
Open acreage
Large lots where hydroseeding beats sod on cost by a wide margin
-
Older housing stock
Drainage sized for a smaller roof and a shorter driveway
-
Mixed rural and residential
Neighbouring farmland that sheds water onto residential lots
Landscaping
Landscape design for
open Beaver County lots
More ground means more opportunity to get it wrong. The usual mistake on an open lot is scattering beds across it until the whole property needs mowing around.
We plan structure first โ what is lawn, what is bed, what is left alone โ then plant into it.
- Structure planned before planting
- Species chosen for exposure and deer pressure
- Phasing so a large property can be built over two seasons
Hardscaping
Retaining walls and patios
on valley-side gradient
Valley ground falls, and a patio on falling ground is a retaining wall with a surface on top. Getting the wall and its drainage right is most of the work.
Compacted base, drainage stone behind every wall, footings below the frost line.
- Terracing where a single wall would be too tall
- Drainage behind every wall
- Engineered base under every paved surface
SOD Installation
Hydroseeding across
Beaver County acreage
This is the county where hydroseeding earns its place. On open ground it covers far more per dollar than sod and, given correct timing and watering, establishes into a tougher lawn.
What it still needs is the ground underneath prepared properly โ decompaction, grading and amendment.
- Hydroseeding on the large open areas
- Sod kept for slopes and instant finishes
- Watering schedule and first-mow date in writing
Snow & Ice Removal
Commercial snow and ice
in Beaver County
Seasonal plowing, salting and sidewalk clearing for commercial sites, with 24-hour call-out. Contracts are agreed before the season rather than during the first storm.
- Seasonal contracts set before winter
- 24-hour call-out
- Lots and sidewalks cleared, not just the access road

What our Beaver County clients say
Good to know
Questions we get from Beaver County
Do you charge extra to come out to Beaver County?
No. We batch the work alongside our Zelienople and Harmony routes, so the pricing is the same as anywhere else.
Is hydroseeding really cheaper than sod?
On open ground, considerably. Below roughly two thousand square feet sod usually wins on balance.
Water is coming onto my lot from uphill. Can that be fixed?
Usually, by intercepting it before it reaches the house. That is a common job in this county.
Which parts of Beaver County do you cover?
Primarily the eastern side: Daugherty, Marion, New Sewickley, North Sewickley, and the boroughs along the river.
How soon can you start?
Drainage work often sooner than you would expect. Planting and lawn work follow the season.
